No More Meritocracy in the USA

Reading and hearing about the three Ivy League presidents everywhere of late, it was surprising to learn plagiarism is no longer frowned upon in the halls of academia. We saw "Dr. Jill's" attempt at literacy when she earned an Ed. D at the state college where her husband, Joe (aka Vegetable Man) Biden was representing that state in the U.S. Senate for many years.

Where's the harm? So what if even the low-level math was incorrect? She's not going to perform neurosurgery and time soon. However, can we overlook incompetent literacy at two such prestigious universities as Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania? Penn immediately forced the resignation of Liz Magill for her defense of anti-Semitism behavior, while Harvard (basically for the same offense), defended its president, Claudine Gay. It even suggested finger pointing at Gay was racist, while Magill is white, and Gay is Black. Nonsense!

Have the charges of plagiarism disappeared? As Victor Davis Hanson asks: ".... what now is the Harvard policy toward anti-Semitism?"

I ask that as well. We are seeing colleges accept entrants on the basis of D, E, I instead of earned accomplishment in grades, sports, art, music, clubs, etc.

In liberty,
